I live for summer. I mean, hands-down my favorite season. Warm weather, tan skin, pool days, grilling season, longer days, and fresh foods - In my opinion, there's everything to love and nothing to hate about the summer days!
So whether you need a cool-down on one of those hot summer days or you need a little pick-me-up on those unbearable winter days, this little number is the perfect snack!
Packed with greens and protein, you're getting plenty of nutrients and tons of flavor - Stick a (reusable) straw in it and call it a day.
very, very generous handful of frozen spinach
two spears (about 1-1.5 cups) of frozen pineapple
two tsp flax seeds
one scoop of protein powder of choice (I use vanilla)
~1 cup almond milk (more or less depending on desired consistency)
one tsp pure maple syrup (for a little extra sweetness!)
1. add everything to a blender and blend until smooth!
