In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a good smoothie! Not only do they taste great and are an easy on-the-go-option, but you can pack so many nutrients in there.
I always aim for adding veggies, protein, and fats in my smoothie, and this particular one hits all three! You've got a full, well-balanced meal in less than five minutes.
I use kale as my greens, greek yogurt and protein powder as my sources of protein, and almond butter and flax seeds as healthy fats. Add in some fruit and a splash of almond milk, and you've got a delicious, nutrient-dense smoothie in your hands!
1 cup frozen berries
2 generous handfuls of frozen kale
1/3 of a banana
1/4 cup greek yogurt
1 tbsp almond butter
2 tsp flax seeds
1 scoop protein powder of choice
1/2 - 1 cup of almond milk (add more or less to reach desired consistency)
Blend all ingredients together in a blender and enjoy!
