horseradish garlic aioli

You guys, I am all about the sauces. Gimme something to dip my food in or top my food with - I am a sucker for the added flavor that condiments and sauces can bring to basic foods.


An aioli can be a super wonderful accompaniment for roasted veggies, burgers, wraps or meat, but your typical store-bought (and even homemade) aioli is loaded with unhealthy fats and lots of unnecessary calories. So I've taken your traditional aioli, lightened it up AND heightened the flavor.


You're basically crazy if you don't try it :-)


Some things you'll need to have on hand:


plain Greek yogurt


horseradish (NOT creamy)


lemon


fresh garlic (of course)


I love to eat this with fish, sweet potato fries, or roasted brussels!



INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

Juice of 1/2 lemon

2-3 cloves of garlic, minced

3 very generous tbsp horseradish

salt to taste


DIRECTIONS

Mix all ingredients together well in one large bowl. Store in refrigerator for up to a week. Enjoy on everything!
